As you can see, we are now starting Superstar Math. It is NOT mandatory, however, if your child is participating, it needs to be returned to me by every Tuesday in order to receive points. A new one will be distributed in your child's BEAR binder every Tuesday.
*Continue to read and record your titles on your reading log. For the month of October, if you fill in every single line on the reading log, your child will receive a "BOOK IT" coupon for a free pizza to Pizza Hut
If there is ever ANYTHING you may not understand on the homework, please do not hesistate to email, call, or send in a note asking for some help. Inside your child's B.E.A.R. binder, there is a yellow folder which is labeled "homework." (Some of you may not have a yellow folder, so look for the label "homework only." You will find the homework for the week in the yellow folder, and I will NOT be accepting it until the last day of the week. Homework is given on the first day of the week (typically Mondays) and returned to me completed by the last day of that week.
Read Daily... Your child will get a reading log for each month to record the book and author they have read each day. At the end of each month, if your child has not missed any days reading, he/she will receive some sort of prize.
